Orchard Area photos
Our Orchard area is currently under development - we hope that it will be fully open from September 2021.
The area will offer lots of learning opportunities for our children, including:
Plants - Children will be able to learn about the different species of plants and what those plants need to help them grow.
Seasons / weather - they will learn about the different seasons, weather and the impact that changes can have on plants and the environment.
Sensory Development - Children will become familiar with the colours, texture and scents of different trees, plants and flowers.
Wildlife - Children will learn about different insects and wildlife in the environment and will learn to respect different species.
Physical development - As children explore the area and utilise the available tools and activities, they will develop both their gross and fine motor skills, control and coordination. These skills will in turn support children across all areas of the Early Years curriculum
Social development - Gardening presents wonderful opportunities for children to bond and help each other look after and nurture plants.
