Somerville’s Christmas Campaign
The children in KS2 recently had an assembly on homelessness in the UK. During the assembly many children gave such thoughtful responses to questions, raised sensitive questions of their own and basically demonstrated what BIG hearts they have. Due to the moving response of the children we have changed this years Christmas campaign from Operation Christmas Child to supporting the Charles Thompson Mission in Birkenhead. On asking the children if this is what they wanted they voted overwhelmingly in support of the Charles Thompson Mission.
There are two campaigns the mission are running. We will collect items for both and deliver them ourselves to the mission.
All items need to be in school no later than the 30th NOVEMBER as it takes time for the mission to sort into packs. Please spread the word to family and friends as the children are passionate about making a difference in their LOCAL COMMUNITY. We realise that this is a quick turn around, your support in our Christmas Charity efforts is MUCH APPRECIATED!
